The LORD is my shepherd; there is nothing I lack.
Psalm 23:1 (HCSB)
I'm a pastor's wife and homeschooling mother. God has called us to a church in Louisiana. Since moving here, so many things are new and different. This will be the place to share those discoveries with you. It's my Louisiana view!

Thanks for a great post!
okay - You'll probably have to delete this comment...because it doesn't go along with your truthful Biblical picture point...ALL I thought of when I saw that pic and read that verse...is those sheep lack wool! They are skinny...sheared animals this time of year where you live!
Okay - delete away....but that was my first thought. I'm glad Pastor Tim's thoughts went the way you wanted to point people! :-)

Well, that picture was taken....ummm...in early spring maybe?!?! I just hadn't gotten around to formatting/cutting/posting it yet! So don't take the time of year as an accurate reflection of their coats. (Is that what sheep wool is called?)
Maybe in the next week or so I can get back to passing by where the sheep live to check out their coats in this season.
I love that! I often times picture God holding his rod and staff. Protection and guidance. We are just ignorant sheep wondering around looking at the all the grass we can eat and he sees disaster coming and protects us as well as taking that crook and bringing us back when we went for the wrong grass.
The bible is so overwhelming with awesome metaphors and examples of our Fathers love for us. I love that we can see the deepest insights in the most common things. Thanks for the post.. I needed that reminder.
