Back to Bugs

Actually, introducing arachnids.

Big ones. Scary ones.

Here is the banana spider. I'm not sure if this is the scientific name, or just what folks call this large, yellow and black spider. I'm not kidding about the large part. They can grow as big as your hand in length! Ewww.

This is the underside.


This is the top...not sure why this guy turned out more orange than yellow?

I have had nightmares about these spiders! There used to be millions of them in the woods next door! No exaggeration!

I posted a banana spider I found at another cousins house in Lafayette. I don't think we have those kind of spiders here in Georgia.
