Recognize any of them??
How about these??
I'm a pastor's wife and homeschooling mother. God has called us to a church in Louisiana. Since moving here, so many things are new and different. This will be the place to share those discoveries with you. It's my Louisiana view!
Just a few comments~
1. These pictures were taken from the east side of the Mississippi River (from the top of the Capitol).
2. I didn't know people actually lived west of the Mississippi River.
3. Now I actually live west of the Mississippi River!!!
4. EVERY time our family drives across the Mississippi River, my historically-minded husband says, "The mighty Mississippi, leading geographical feature of these fifty nifty United States, transportation backbone of our great country, inspirer of dreams and stories. The Mighty Mississippi River." (Feel free to use that the next time you cross the Mississippi River!)
My family thinks she bears some resemblance to Mary Poppins...which always makes us feel like a "spoon full of sugar" and rather "supercalifragilisticexpialidocious"!
Never in my life, in my entire imagination, have I ever thought I would wake up with a crawfish claw in my ditch. It's just such a rather odd thought.
That's a new word we've learned here~ envie. It's basically means a "hankering" or "hankerin'", which was the word of choice where we moved from.
So, the question repeats~ Got an envie for some crawfish?
You can have some here...
